Prepare OpenVPN with Debian packages
Install OpenVPN and Easy-RSA from Debian's maintained packages. Match the PKI and server configuration to the official OpenVPN HOWTO instead of executing an unreviewed third-party root script.

cd ~/easy-rsa
./easyrsa init-pkiCreate the CA plus server and client certificates using the documented process. Define routes and firewall rules deliberately, avoid obsolete compression settings, and transfer client profiles only over a protected channel.
