Work through prerequisites, FXServer artifacts, txAdmin, Keymaster and the database in a repeatable order, with backups before major changes.

Step 1: Server & OS

Choose a KVM server (min. 4 CPU, 8 GB RAM, 50 GB, Debian 12). Install Debian 12 via dashboard: Manage → Reinstall OS → Debian 12. Note the root password.

Step 2: Termius & SSH

Download Termius. Connect: New Host → server IP, user root, password → Connect.

Step 3: Installation

Update the system and install the documented prerequisites:

sudo apt update && sudo apt upgrade -y
sudo apt install -y git xz-utils

Continue with the current official Cfx server guide. Download the recommended Linux build shown there instead of executing an unreviewed third-party installer as root.

mkdir -p ~/FXServer/server ~/FXServer/server-data
git clone https://github.com/citizenfx/cfx-server-data.git ~/FXServer/server-data

Step 4: TxAdmin & Keymaster

TxAdmin in browser: http://YOUR-IP:40120. Run setup wizard, create admin account. Get server key from keymaster.fivem.net and add in TxAdmin under Settings → FXServer → License Key.
